Runs
Around Richmond Park on an early misty morning, it’s hilly and hills are good.
Across Richmond Park in the rain, as you can run anywhere you like and you get very muddy.
On the beach in Noosa, because it stretches for miles.
Along Saunton Sands in Devon on a beautiful Summer’s morning, because it reminds me of being in Noosa.
Along the towpath from Marble Hill to Richmond Bridge, I jyust love being by the river.
Up to Big Picket Rock in Sidmouth, it’s a hard long hill. The scenery at the top is breath taking.
Along the towpath from Teddington Lock to Richmond Bridge, because it is overgrown and by the river.
Across Torvor Lower Common on a misty spring morning, the view of Coniston Water and Old Man of Coniston is stunning.
Up any hill because it is so satisfying. Box Hill is good.
On sand, just as well as I will be running the Marathon des Sables in April 2010.
Sports Legends
Ian Botham, for his brilliant 149 not out against Australia in 1981, and I quite liked him when I was young.
Bob Willis, for his famous bowling performance against Australia in 1981, 8 for 43, and for his crazy hair.
Jane Tomlinson, she was so brave and courageous, in spite of such pain.
Tani Grey-Thompson, she was an excellent para-athlete and incredibly determined.
Mark Spite, I got his autograph when I was about 7.
Bjorn Borg, because of his composure against John McEnroe.
Sir Ranulph Fiennes, for his amazing endurance, adventure and stamina.
Martin Johnson, he's a brilliant leader and you just wouldn’t mess with him.
Dean Macey, what a character and excellent athlete.
Sir Steve Redgrave, what can you say except how superb to get 5 gold medals.
Sports Pop Idols
Paula Radcliffe, because I find her running style rather unique.
Topsy Ojo, because I think he’s has got a great name and he’s pretty quick too.
Jonny Wilkinson, because he and his team mates won the World Cup.
Ellen MacArthur, because she is just an amazing, determined woman.
Roger Federer, because he seems so calm and composed at the most crucial moments.
Rafael Nadal, he seems very modest considering he is brilliant at tennis and he doesn't give up.
Rebecca Adlington, because she's worked so hard to get her medals and is really down to earth.
Chris Hoy, what power and determination.
Nicole Cooke, who would have believed she would win considering where she was on the last hill in the road race!
David Davies, how far did he swimming? He seemed completely out of it once he had finished. Not surprised really!
